The broken Mist

in balance with this life. . .

And the doctor told us: “Enfermedades Silenciosas,”. Nothing that is. Between his ribs and his lungs was a huge amount of some kind of fluid. There were four possible causes. None of them favorable. After an hour or so of taking him to a bigger hospital and back to the local vet, he passed away gently. Dolethal. That is the name. The orangeness of the liquid inside the syringe is fixed every time my darkling lids perceive the tiredness. I can’t read. I can’t sleep. I don’t grasp any distraction. Futile as it is, to be writing; if anything I can still smell him. He’s around for a milisecond but then I realise the routine has fell. The worst part has already passed: Me arriving home without kneeling to grab him because he is already there, waiting for me.

In balance with this life, this death.

I ____ ___ ___.

    Lacrimosa nux illa.
Remember when the past gone and the future had not come yet.
